Description

The 3rd Tea of Christmas 2025

This is a reblend, but it’s the first time I’ve reblended it. It’s a Frank’s era tea – back from March of 2012! Since it’s been a long while since I’ve actually tasted the original batch of this tea & since the original recipe for this tea is long since gone following a computer crash, I took some liberties with the recipe as well as the taste testing.

I started with organic Honeybush, to which I added cranberries & dried orange wedges. Finally, I added a touch of essence to create a butter-y (vegan!) & sweet scone-y (gluten-free!) taste.

In my opinion, this one turned out pretty awesome, if I do say so myself! It definitely has a classic holiday vibe to it as cranberry & orange are a staple flavor combination for this time of year. The cranberry & orange notes are vibrant, with hints of butter that linger on the palate & a lovely biscuit-y flavor. Really lovely! A perfect tea time treat for any time, day or night – with no worries that it will keep you awake as it’s caffeine-free (although the memories of the flavor might keep you awake & wanting another cup!)

organic ingredients: honeybush, cranberries, oranges & natural flavors

to brew: shake pouch, use 3 ½ grams of tea to 12oz of very hot water (190°F) & allow to steep for 10 minutes. Strain & allow to cool for at least 5 minutes. Enjoy!

serving suggestion: I tried this both hot & cold. It’s delicious either way, so drink this whichever way you want! I find it delicious without additions, however, if you’re looking to enhance the biscuity/scone-y notes, you’ll find a teensy bit of sugar will do that
