Still Getting Caught Up . . .
I was inspired to create this tea after finding a recipe for Pear Coffee Cake. I thought it sounded delicious, but I’m not that into baking, so I decided to make a tea instead!
The blend starts with a combination of black teas (Assam & Yunnan), then I added a bunch of freeze-dried pear chunks & some cinnamon as well as a touch of essence to give it a coffee cake note.
This tea is so tasty! The pear flavor is sweet & the cinnamon offers a pleasant spice note. Soft notes of fluffy cake play upon the palate. This is exactly what I would imagine a Pear Coffee Cake to taste like – if it were a tea!
It’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free & allergen-friendly!
organic ingredients: black teas, pears, cinnamon & natural flavors
to brew: shake the pouch before measuring. Use 3g of tea to 12oz of nearly boiling water (205°F) & steep for 3 – 4 minutes. Strain & allow the tea to cool for at least 10 minutes before sipping. Enjoy!
serving suggestion: this tea is delicious served hot or cold. I find that I prefer it hot, but I also found the cuppa quite enjoyable as it cooled. It doesn’t need additions, but a teensy bit of sugar will bring those cake-y notes forward a bit more.
