It’s probably no big secret that I LOVE my Ginger Cola Black Tea that I first crafted several years ago & have since reblended it a couple of times. It is one of my all-time favorites! (Admittedly, I do have a lot of those!)
Anyway, I decided to do a twist on that favorite tea by adding one of my favorite berries to the blend: blackberries! The sweetness of the blackberries soften the sharp notes of the ginger, making this a sublimely different, yet distinctly similar drink to the classic Ginger Cola Tea. It’s sweet from the undertones of caramel-y cola flavor, mildly fruity from the presence of blackberry with a gentle contrast of warm ginger.
This is making my tastebuds dance! I love it! Take it from me, cold-brewing is the best way to go with this!
It’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly & all-natural.
organic ingredients: black teas, blackberries, ginger, candied ginger (cane sugar & ginger root) & natural flavors
to hot brew: shake pouch. Use 3g of tea to 12oz of nearly boiling water (205°F) & steep for 3 minutes. Strain & allow to cool for 10 minutes for a hot drink, or allow to cool completely (chill in the fridge!) for an chilled tea.
to cold-brew: shake pouch. Put 3g of tea & 12oz of freshly drawn, filtered water in a jar or other vessel. Close vessel & place in the fridge for at least 6 hours (overnight is best), strain & enjoy!
serving suggestion: I highly recommend trying this cold-brewed. Also, a teensy bit of sugar will bring out the sweeter “cola” like flavors of this drink, although it is quite tasty without the sweetener.
