Description
Tea of the Week for October 23, 2023!
I’m surprised at how much I’m enjoying this cuppa! I don’t generally love rooibos OR chamomile, but together, they make a really nice combination! It’s a tasty, relaxing cuppa!
The apple & chamomile seem to be a nice match, as I’ve often thought that chamomile has a very apple-y note to it. This tastes more like apple than it does distinctly chamomile which I like. The rooibos lends a warm, woodsy note to the cup while the presence of the fruity flavors helps keep it from overwhelming it. It’s a nice, satisfying cuppa that definitely tastes autumnal without the spice that typically comes with a fall-inspired beverage.
Not that I don’t like a good, spicy tea, it’s one of my favorite things about this time of year! But it’s nice to have something a little different in my cup once in a while too!
It’s organic, naturally caffeine free, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly & all natural!
organic ingredients: rooibos, apples, blackberries, chamomile & natural flavors
to brew: shake the pouch. Use 3 ½ grams of tea to 12oz of very hot water (about 190°F) & steep for 6 – 10 minutes. I steeped it for 10 minutes & the flavor is really nice but to be honest, I think it would have done well with a little less time as well. Allow it to cool for at least 5 minutes before you start sipping to allow the flavors to develop.
serving suggestion: At the time of writing this review, I’ve only tried this hot, but I suspect it would make a stellar iced tea as well. This is delicious without sweetener, but I found that a little bit of sugar helped encourage the fruit notes to pop.
