The 9th Tea of Christmas 2024!
I was so excited that this tea won the votes to earn its way into this year’s box! This tea has only been blended once – way back in our first year – 2015! So, I was happy to see that you guys wanted to bring this one back!
This blend starts with organic honeybush. Then I added pears! A bunch of them! Then I added some cinnamon & a touch of maple essence. Finally, I added some freshly shaved nutmeg.
Although it’s been a while since I last tried this tea, I can say without hesitation that it’s just as delicious as I remember it. I love baked pears, and the only way I think that this delicious treat can be improved upon is to add some Maple when you’re baking it so that it can get all caramelized and add that lovely maple-y flavor & that’s just what I’m getting from this amazing cuppa. Mmm!
organic ingredients: honeybush, freeze-dried pears, cinnamon, freshly shaved nutmeg & natural flavors.
to brew: use 3½g of tisane to 12oz of very hot water (190°F) steep for 10 minutes, strain & allow to cool for 5 minutes. Enjoy!
serving suggestion: This tea is delicious served chilled (cold-brew it – it’s delicious!) but if I’m being totally honest, I prefer it hot. The warmth of the honeybush along with the spices & maple – lends itself to a hot cuppa. It’s great without any sweetener, but I find with a little bit of sugar (I use less than ½ a teaspoon per 12oz serving) it brings out the spices, the maple & the pear really nicely!
