Description
Tea of the Week for June 17, 2024!
This tea took a little bit of tweaking to get the flavors that I wanted, but I think I did it! So much yum in one cuppa!
It starts with a black tea base of Yunnan & Assam teas. I then added mangoes, coconut & vanilla bean. Finally, I added pancake, maple & butter essence! It sounds like a lot going on, but it turned out awesome.
The pancake breakfast notes are subtle, but they develop as you continue to sip. The mango & coconut meld together beautifully & the vanilla accentuates the two tropical fruits really nicely. It’s smooth, fruity with notes of starchy pancakes with a hint of butter & a kiss of maple. It’s not overly one particular flavor but more a medley of all the flavors together. It’s really unique & very tasty – it’s also organic, vegan & gluten-free!
organic ingredients: black teas, mangoes, coconut, vanilla bean & natural flavors
to brew: shake the pouch well before you measure – as there are quite a few ingredients in this and you want to be sure to have everything well distributed before you measure. Use 3g of tea to 12oz of nearly boiling water. Steep for 3 ½ minutes & strain. Enjoy!
serving suggestion: I’ll be honest and tell you that I didn’t try this iced. As I mentioned in the description above, I had to go through several layers of tweaking, so, by the time I finished all of it, I was up against my deadline – so I simply didn’t have the time to try it iced. But I will tell you that served hot (which is generally how I prefer to drink my “breakfast-y” blends like pancake breakfast teas) this tea is amazingly good. I added a teensy bit of sugar to the cup & it enhanced the overall flavors of the cup – the mangoes were brighter, the coconut, smoother – the vanilla & maple essence, more apparent. It’s good without sweetener, but with it – it’s over the top amazingly good.
