Limonade Green Tea

$4.75$14.25

This is so refreshing! I knew the combination of lemon & lime would be refreshing & I knew I’d really enjoy this combination – but I didn’t realize just how much I *LOVE* it! The addition of vanilla adds a touch of smoothness that melds beautifully with the buttery lemongrass & Chinese Sencha while the bright notes of lemon & lime come together in a harmonious way that your taste buds are going to love!

Countdown to Catching Up, Part 3 – Tea 10 (Counting Down from 10 to 1!)

I guess I need to keep these catching up countdowns for a bit, hopefully this will be the last countdown, but – I guess we shall see.

Anyway, spring is upon us, so I’m inspired to create some bright springtime flavors for the teas in this next batch. I thought about the “Brazilian lemonade” that I made last year with fresh limes & sweetened condensed milk. It was delicious, but my Americanized palate couldn’t help but think “this is limeade, not lemonade.” From that, my thoughts wandered to how I would create this in tea form. The Mad Tea Artist decided it should have both lemons & limes as well as a touch of vanilla extract – to create a lemon-lime-y delightfully delicious tea time treat!

This blend starts with fresh Chinese Sencha & some lemon grass to bring in a lovely, buttery undertone. Then I added a bunch of lemons & limes as well as a touch of vanilla essence. The vanilla is subtle, creating more of an overall creamy note to the cup rather than a strong “vanilla” presence. The lemons & limes are bright & citrusy. The vanilla softens the tartness of these two fruits – the result is a fantastically smooth, pleasantly sweet with just a hint of citrus-y tang. Lovely!

It’s also organic, vegan, gluten-free, allergen-friendly & all-natural!

organic ingredients: green tea, lemon grass, lemons, limes & natural flavors

to brew: shake the pouch gently to ensure ingredients are well incorporated, use 3g of tea to 12 oz of freshly drawn water heated to 175°F. Steep for 2 minutes, strain & allow to cool for at least 5 minutes before you start sipping! Enjoy!

serving suggestion: My initial taste tests of this tea were served hot & these were quite nice. Smooth & silky – if you can imagine lemon-lime being “silky.” This is that. It’s very soothing & refreshing. As a cold drink, it is equally as refreshing, perhaps even more so, since it is a cold drink. This will make an excellent cold-brewed drink for the hot months ahead!
