Tea of the Week for May 22, 2017!
Oh! My! Goodness! This is good stuff!
I had planned on making this particular blend a couple of months ago - but I didn't have everything I needed to complete the tea so I scrapped it and instead made the Strawberry Genmaicha which went over quite well too.
But this tea was definitely worth the wait! This is so yummy!
It is sweet - obviously - after all, it is a cotton candy tea. It's supposed to be sweet. So if a sweet tasting tea isn't your thing, this isn't a tea that I'd recommend for you. For the rest of you - you've got to try this!
I started with organic Matcha infused Genmaicha and blended it with natural flavors, then I added some amaranth petals and some purple heart shaped candy sprinkles. I don't often add candy sprinkles to tea - in fact, I'm usually opposed to it because I like to decide if I want sugar in my tea or not. But since this IS a cotton candy tea, I thought it would be an acceptable addition for this tea (don't worry, they're vegan and gluten-free sprinkles!)
The result is a seriously tasty tea - and I don't think that this one is going to be sticking around very long so you should grab a pouch now!
I do recommend tasting before you sweeten (if you're one of those who chooses to sweeten automatically before you taste the tea) because as I said, it is naturally sweet and the sprinkles do add some sugar. Not a lot, but some.
Taster size is approximately 15g.
