Tea of the Week for July 24, 2017: Orange Raspberry Green Rooibos
Posted by on
Tea Description: Nothing too fancy this week - but it is something light, refreshing and sweet. A perfect summertime drink. Organic green rooibos bursting with sunny orange flavor with notes of bright raspberry.
There's not really much else to say about this except - you should try it!
organic ingredients: green rooibos, oranges, raspberries & natural flavors
This is really tasty - the raspberry and orange meld together to create a flavor that is both raspberry and orange - it's almost seamless. I get that tangy-sweet note of raspberry and the bright, juicy flavor of orange all in one sip.
Because this is a green rooibos, the flavor is lighter - sweeter - with almost a fruity tone to it that ties into the orange and raspberry. It doesn't really stand out as a strong flavor - and that's just the way I prefer rooibos to taste.
I'm going to keep this post short and sweet because really - there's not a lot more to say about this one. I recommend trying it iced! It makes a delicious, refreshing cold drink!
to brew: use 1 1/2 to 2 scoops (or rounded teaspoons) of leaf to 12 ounces of hot water (190°F). Steep for 8 minutes. Allow to cool for at least 5 minutes - I recommend going iced with this tea. It's good hot but it's amazing iced!
