On the Eleventh Day of Christmas . . . (2017 Edition)

We're almost there - it's Christmas Eve! Happy Christmas Eve to all who are reading this! I hope your holiday season has been filled with lots of TEA and happiness. Of course, they're really one in the same, aren't they? (TEA = happiness!) Here's our 11th TEA of Christmas - 

 Maple Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha!

Tea Description: This tea was the biggest vote-getter of all the teas in the polls this year. It surpassed every black tea and every Oolong. By a landslide even! But still - I almost did not blend it for the 12 Teas of Christmas box because I thought that I'd instead do a separate 'special reblend' for it - along with a couple of others. However, I couldn't ignore that this did in fact nearly doubled the votes of every other tea in the poll. So I decided that I HAD to reblend this one for the holiday box!

And sitting here, sipping on this, I'm mighty glad that I did because YUM! This is so tasty! It's so wonderful to be sitting here, sipping on this one!

My original description of this tea (From November 28 of last year) went like this: 

One thing we're known for here at 52Teas is our Marshmallow Treat inspired teas. Everyone seems to love 'em - myself included! - so don't try to fix it if it ain't broke, right? Since we're right in the middle of autumn (my favorite time of year!) I thought a yummy flavor to focus on would be maple - so why not a Maple Marshmallow Treat Genmaicha? Sounds really good, right?

I started with our organic Matcha infused Genmaicha and added maple essence and marshmallow root to create a marshmallow treat experience that's perfect for fall!

This tea is all organic, VEGAN (yes, vegan!), gluten-free and allergen-free - not to mention sweet and absolutely delightful! Those of you who love maple like I do are going to LOVE this tea!

I stuck true to the recipe, so if you loved it last year, you can expect to love it this year too!

organic ingredients: green teas, popped brown rice, marshmallow root, calendula petals and natural flavors

Oh! Wow! There really isn't a lot more about this that I can say that hasn't already been said - it's really delicious. Maple - marshmallow & genmaicha! So very, very good!

to brew: use 2 1/2 to 3 g of tea to 12 ounces of hot water (heated to 175°F) and steep for 2 minutes. Strain and allow to cool for at least 5 minutes to allow the flavors to develop. Enjoy!
