A Most Unusual VIT Blend!
This tea was requested by one of our very special customers - she wanted me to create this tea as a gift for someone special in her life.
So here it is - a beer flavored green tea! I started with a blend of organic green tea: a Yun Wu to offer hints of bitterness that would complement the hops and a smooth Chinese Sencha.
To that I added some roasted Japanese barley - to give the tea a grainy flavor. Then I added some hops (including a special Chinook hops from right here in the Pacific Northwest) and a little bit of sorghum as well as all natural, organic flavors.
This is a truly unique tea. I'm not a huge beer fan so I find it difficult to really rate this tea. That said and while I don't really have a great appreciation for beer, I do like this. It tastes like someone poured beer into my green tea and there's about a 50-50 ratio in flavor - 50% green tea and 50% beer. So when I say that I like this, I believe my palate is responding favorably to the green tea (more so than to the beer flavor) - but it is definitely unique. I'd rather drink this than beer any day!
NOTE: This tea contains barley and is therefore NOT gluten-free. Special efforts were made to avoid cross contamination - so you needn't worry about our other teas, however, if you are one who should avoid gluten, you should probably avoid this tea.
Taster size is approximately 15g.
